Develop clear and actionable Strategies with Birdifi Bridge Business Advice Sessions.

 

Business Advice Sessions can offer targeted advice relating to your business idea or existing business. 

 

Each session is delivered over the course of an hour, and you can access a maximum of 2 sessions a year. 

Duration

 1 hr session (up to 2 per year).

Format

Either face to face, online or over the phone.

Objective

To provide short, targeted sessions of tailored business advice and assistance to individuals who are self-employed or considering self-employment.

These sessions are available if you have an existing business, or have a business idea, and may involve:

• gaining advice on establishing your business

• improving your business’ financial position

• a range of other small business-related matters to suit your needs.

Eligibility

To be eligible to access Self-Employment Services, you must:

• be at least 15 years of age,

• not be prohibited by law from working in Australia,

• not be an overseas visitor on a working holiday visa or an overseas student studying in Australia,

• not be enrolled in full-time secondary education 

• not be an undischarged bankrupt, and

 

In addition, to be eligible to access Business Advice Sessions, you must:

• not have accessed 2 or more Business Advice Sessions within the past 12 months, and

• must not currently be accessing Small Business Coaching, and

• must have a business or business idea that meets the Business Eligibility Criteria.

 

Further, Birdifi Bridge must be comfortable that you are aware of the Self-Employment Assistance Services available to you, you have made an informed decision that this is the service most applicable to you and that you have the capacity and capability to benefit from this service. If you have an existing business, this includes being satisfied that delivering the session will increase the likelihood that your business will be Operating Commercially within 12 months.

 

Somerset Region Eligibility

To be eligible to receive Self-Employment Assistance from Birdifi Bridge, you must:

• live within the Somerset Employment Region*, or

• have, or propose to have, a business address within the Somerset Employment Region*
