The Business Basics Grant offers $7,500 in funding to eligible small businesses across Queensland. The aim of the grant is to support business improvement and growth through professional business advice, marketing strategies, and website development or upgrades.
What Is the Business Basics Grant?
Key Categories of
Eligible Projects
Your project must fall under one of the following categories:

Professional Business Advice
Expert guidance tailored to improve business operations, financial planning, and growth strategies.

Strategic Marketing Services
​​Elevate your business with tailored marketing strategies, digital marketing plans, SEO, and customer engagement campaigns.

03
Website Build or
Upgrade
Develop or enhance your business website, improving user experience, SEO, and functionality, including e-commerce setups.
Additionally, projects must be completed within a 6-month period and cannot have significantly commenced before round 2 of the grant.
Business Eligibility Summary
To be eligible for the Queensland Business Basics Grant, your business must meet the following criteria:
Business Size: Must have fewer than 5 employees.
Active ABN: The business must be operating with an active ABN (Australian Business Number).
Location: Your business must have its headquarters registered in Queensland, as listed in the Australian Business Register (ABR).
Business History: Must have been trading for at least 12 months before applying.
Annual Turnover: The business’s turnover must not exceed $300,000 for the last financial year (2023/2024).
Previous Grant Funding: The business must not have received funding in an earlier Business Basics round.
Financial Standing: The business must not be insolvent and its owners/directors must not be bankrupt.
Note: Unlike previous rounds, there is no requirement to be GST-registered for this grant round.
